Kellsie Jones
Owner/ Director

Kellsie graduated from Baton Rouge Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her passion for childcare began at a young age as she began babysitting and assisting in the church nursery when she was only 13 years old. Kellsie worked at a local daycare throughout high school, before opening her in-home daycare throughout college. With her passion for quality childcare and her love for all children, she now embarks on her dream of opening her own daycare and is excited to bring her knowledge, experience, and love to her first childcare center.

Nikki Forbes
Finance/ Health Coordinator

Nikki graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College School of Nursing in 2004. She has spent 15 years in local hospitals working in various units such as Med/Surg., Neuro, Psych, Postpartum, and Telemetry. Nikki has also worked in a clinical setting for LSU Health in family medicine. With the dreams of her daughter, and a new grandmother to two, she now assists and guides her daughter with fulfilling her life long dreams. She now plays a vital role in the daycare as the finance director as well as putting her skills to use as a nurse when needed.

Joan Forbes
Educational Director

Joan graduated from Southern University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She later obtained a Master's degree with a concentration in Special Education. She furthered her studies, first at Southeastern Louisiana University, and later completed additional hours at Louisiana State University in Learning Disabilities. Her long teaching career has provided a wealth of experience with children from all walks of life and learning abilities for over 40 plus years. She is currently a proud, long- term educator of the Ascension Parish School District. With her plans to soon retire, Joan's new journey will include her role in the academy and daycare, continuing to construct and provide meaningful educational experiences to prepare children for real- word problems and experiences.

Alvin Forbes
"Paw- Paw"/ Education Consultant

Alvin graduated from Leland College with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and later obtained a Master's degree from Southern University, with completing an additional 30 hours. Throughout his long teaching career of 30 years, Alvin worked at several local schools as a teacher and later worked as a Principal at Northdale Elementary. His role at the daycare consists of classroom read- alouds, story telling, and various educational activities with the kids.

His most popular role is better known as "Paw-paw". 

Kennedi Ordone
Tutoring Services/ Social Media

Kennedi graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education. Eager to step into her calling and the classroom, she started her first teaching job two days after graduation! She recently finished her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in English as a Second Language. Kennedi was the Teacher of the Year for 2021-22 at her local elementary school in the EBR School District. She currently serves as an ESL Specialist this school year, with the hopes of being well- rounded in reaching and meeting the needs of all learners. With her dedication and high expectations for all students, her role consists of offering tutoring services through the academy for school aged children.
